Born in Monza in 1982, she graduated in Art and Design at NABA in Milan where she began experimenting with textile fibers and flexible materials. She worked for a few years as a graphic and web designer until she discovered weaving and decided to dedicate herself permanently to this form of art.
In her works, she seeks the fusion between digital aesthetics and scientific data with ancient, ritual and slow art such as manual weaving.
The scientific data (sound spectrogram, thin sections of rocks, soil chromatographs) is transposed into the textile material, losing its function, precision, and accuracy, becoming a soft and flexible element. <\/p>\n
In 2015-17 she attended the two-year course in Weaving and Tapestry at the San Giacomo School of Ornamental Arts in Rome.
With the Muratessili project she won the call for Toscanaincontemporanea 2017 and worked in an artistic residency at Le Murate Pac in Florence, concluding the experience with a personal exhibition.<\/p>\n
In 2018 she won a scholarship for the Master in Textile Creation of Art Fabrics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and the Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio where she explored textile culture in every aspect, from the artisanal to the technical planning to the artistic and anthropological one.<\/p>\n
Since 2019 she has collaborated with fashion houses and style offices for the creation of unique or limited series fabrics and teaches weaving and tapestry at Lottozero, ABA Siracusa.<\/p>\n
