The exhibition features a selection of works that reflect the individual’s process of transformation, suspended between the visible and the invisible, between the emergence and dissolution of form.

Innocenti’s works do not tell stories; rather, they evoke ever-shifting states of consciousness, in which the human figure appears as a fragile and unstable presence, capable of merging with the surrounding landscape. The bodies—lying down, kneeling, or listening—seem to belong to a Gothic world, where nature, psyche, and memory converge to create a collective, universal image.

The artist’s painterly process unfolds through layering, glazing, and the removal of color, giving rise to transient images in which each work represents a provisional moment, an instant within a broader process of becoming. Faces and bodies, rarefied and often overlapping, do not define individual identities but instead express inner states, as if they emerged from a suspended realm beyond physical and temporal laws.
In this research, spirituality is not an act of transcendence but one of immersion in matter, a movement toward awareness that manifests in painting as an act of listening and rebirth. Each work thus becomes a suspended territory, where the individual is part of a process that extends beyond the self and opens onto the universal. The exhibition invites viewers to pause within those spaces where the image takes shape, to reflect on our condition as beings in constant becoming, suspended between what is visible and what remains hidden. Innocenti’s painting therefore unfolds as a continuous rebirth, in which each work is an attempt to rediscover our deepest essence, to look beyond surfaces, and to uncover the transformative potential that lies within every moment of life.

The exhibition will open on January 17 at 6:00 PM, offering an opportunity to discover Innocenti’s works and engage in dialogue with the artist about his research.
