Silvio Giannini (1998, Rome) lives and works in Rome. After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts, he collaborated as an assistant to the artist Marco Tirelli at the spaces of Ex Pastificio Cerere. Since 2024, he has participated in numerous nationally significant awards and competitions, including the Premio Nocivelli, the Premio UAART, the Premio Arte, and the Immagina Mag competition at MAXXI – National Museum of 21st Century Arts. In 2025, he won the fifth edition of the Whatsart competition and presented two solo exhibitions: La prima notte di quiete at Studio Orma and Sarà ancora luce altrove at Galleria La Fonderia.
His painting explores the boundary between vision and memory, between reality and dream, immersing the viewer in the silence of rarefied landscapes that emerge through a patient layering of chiaroscuro, achieved by the gradual superimposition of delicate veils of nebulized color. In all his works, nature reveals itself in its most enigmatic and mysterious essence. Giannini’s work offers no certainties; instead, it questions the gaze, compelling it to navigate between the recognizable and the unknown in search of a new and ever-evolving harmony.
